My name is Darian Hernandez and I am a performing artist with over 8 years of experience teaching music lessons.

Over time, I have helped many students reach their goals by using a methodology of teaching what they want to learn. Not what I want to teach them.

Studies have shown learning an instrument increases memory capacity, enhances coordination, and improves cognitive performance.

This, and for many other reasons, is why I believe in the power of music and being able to teach it.

Guitar

Monthly Rate: $50/30 Minutes or $80/Hour

*One lesson booked at a time is $20 extra. To lock in the monthly rate, weekly lessons are required.*

Guitar lessons are shaped to fit each student based on their goals. Depending on where the student wants to go, we will adjust accordingly! Strumming, fingerpicking, scales, theory, and learning a variety of songs is what could be expected.

Equipment needed: A guitar, tuner, capo, guitar case. If playing an electric, you will need an amp as well. Please feel free to contact me for suggestions!

Piano

Monthly Rate: $50/30 Minutes or $80/Hour

*One lesson booked at a time is $20 extra. To lock in the monthly rate, weekly lessons are required.*

In Piano Lessons, there are two ways we can go, but again, this depends on what the student wants to learn.

1. Fully classical. Learning to read sheet music, theory, and going through classical pieces such as Fur Elise, Gymnopedie, etc.

2. More contemporary. Examples of this are learning to play chords, how to read chord charts, how to sing while playing, and performing their favorite songs!

Equipment Needed: A Piano or Keyboard with stand and bench. Please feel free to contact me for suggestions!
